Ski Sunday returns this weekend for its 38th series presented by Champions Talent Management Client and former Winter Olympian Graham Bell. Joined by snowboarder Ed Leigh the first episode of the new series comes from Adelboden in Switzerland and features coverage of the men’s second slalom event of the World Cup.
There will be British interest in the race with David Ryding competing hoping to better his 6th place finish in the first slalom event of the World Cup in Finland back in October. This was David’s best finish in a World Cup race finishing in the top ten for the first time. This was the best finish by a British skier since Alain Baxter came 4th in 2001.
Up against slalom greats Marcel Hirscher and Henrik Kristofferson, it is sure to be a thrilling race. Also featuring on the show, Olympic snowboarder Jamie Nicholls provides a tour of the UK dry slopes where future GB Winter Olympians can learn their craft.
A special feature on the weekends programme will focus on a burnt down skiing and snowboarding park in Sheffield, which provided a place for talented winter sportsmen and women to practice and train on. The resort saw Winter Olympians James Woods and Katie Summerhayes train there and the programme will look at what has happened to the centre since the fire.
You can see the new series of Ski Sunday this Sunday on BBC Two between 6:15 and 7pm.
As well as television presenting and broadcasting, Graham Bell is available for a number of other services including motivational speaking, ambassadorial roles and media appearances. For more information please contact Bethany Smithard on 08453 31 30 31 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
