TV personality Dominic Littlewood encourages homeowners to stay safe this winter

TV presenter, journalist and consumer champion Dominic Littlewood has joined forces with the Gas Safe Register to highlight how important it is to properly maintain gas appliances.

Coventry shoppers get a jet-set treat from Sam & Mark

Cheeky duo Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes, better known simply as Sam & Mark, recently teamed up with budget holiday company, Jet2 to hit the streets of Coventry and giveaway free flights!

The duo, landed in the spotlight back in 2003 when they competed in the hit ITV talent show, Pop Idol, have since gone on to build a successful media career.  A favourite on children’s TV, the pair are known for their irreverent nature and exuberant sense of fun.

Derek Redmond delivers motivational talk to US teachers

Former British sprinter, Derek Redmond, who claimed gold in the 4 x 400m relay at the 1986 Commonwealth Games, recently paid a visit to teachers and staff in Illinois to impart his motivational wisdom.

A successful athlete, Derek also raced his way to success in the 1991 World Championships and the 1986 European Championships, although he is perhaps most well-known for the moving images of his father helping him finish his race when an injury put paid to his medal hopes part way through the 400m semi-final at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

An inspiring individual, Derek is a natural communicator able to engage and motivate his audience. Speaking at the gathering of teaching and administrative staff from Oak Lawn -Hometown District 123, which comprises six schools employing a combined 450 people, Derek was invited to share his tips for effective team working.
