Derek Redmond to speak at 2 Citywire events in 2016

Champions Celebrity are delighted to announce that heroic Olympic athlete Derek Redmond will be putting his excellent speaking skills to good use by being booked to speak at two different events for investor media group Citywire.

On Sunday 24th January, the death of British explorer Henry Worsley was confirmed. His goal was to complete the unfinished expedition of his hero Sir Ernest Shackleton, by trekking solo without resupply across the Trans-Antarctic in aid of raising funds for Military veterans. Henry who was a former army officer, had spent 71 days trekking alone and had covered over 900 miles before he waved his white flag due to severe malnutrition and dehydration.

Mercedes-Benz Deal for Champions Celebrity’s Olympic Prospect Jack Burnell

ASA Performance Athlete of the Year Jack Burnell was the first British athlete to qualify directly for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro following his performance in last July’s World Championship 10km Marathon in Kazan, Russia.

The Scunthorpe-born 22-year-old, who is at the top of both the British and FINA Open Water Swimming World Rankings, was among 10 swimmers competing at the Kazanka River venue to secure Olympic qualification.
