Lee Ryan shot to fame as a teenager in one of the UK’s most successful boy bands of all-time, Blue, who sold more than 15 million records worldwide. Alongside Duncan James, Antony Costa, and Simon Webbe, the group notched up three number one albums, two Brit awards and duets with musical legends Sir Elton John and Stevie Wonder.
After the break-up of Blue, Lee released his debut solo single ‘Army of Lovers’ which reached No.3 on the UK Singles Chart. His self-titled debut album also featured another two top 20 hits and his single ‘Real Love’ featured in the film Ice Age: The Meltdown.
Following enormous demand from the public, Lee reunited with Blue, and the group entered the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 and began recording new material. In 2013 alone, Blue played over 170 shows and events, in more than 21 countries. Lee also made a well-publicised appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2014 which attracted millions of viewers.
2015 saw Blue hitting the screens as they launched their new ITV show, “Blue Go Mad In Ibiza”. The reality series followed the trials and tribulations of Blue as they attempted to run a bar in Ibiza, whilst things consistently went wrong leaving them with daily challenges to face and sparking a new genre: “Prankality TV”.
