Online bookmakers, Betsafe, were looking to hire celebrities to aid in their campaign ahead of Manchester teams being in the Premier League. The concept for the campaign was a football match titled "Battle of Manchester", in which former players representing Manchester United and Manchester City would play against each other.
Betsafe called upon Champions Celebrity Talent Agency to supply the celebrities for their "Battle of Manchester".
The celebrities that we provided for Betsafe were Manchester United Players David May and Clayton Blackmore, along with famed Westlife singer Brian McFadden.
Having supplied the three celebrities to Betsafe, the “Battle of Manchester” took place!
David, Clayton and Brian lined up alongside boxer Anthony Crolla for the Manchester United team. Playing against them for Manchester City were Trevor Sinclair, Paul Dickov and Richard Dunne. Additionally, Sky Sports pundit Alan McInally provided light-hearted commentary on the game.
